The 'Halo RC Osiris' is a lightweight freestyle frame, designed for mounting the battery on the top with up to two straps while leaving room up front for HD camera mounting.
Using our new construction and arm connection method, each of the four separate arms are held in place using a single bolt and remain tight with no play to create a rigid and durable structure. The one bolt retention allows for quick and easy arm replacement in the field.
The 'Osiris' is one of the first frames we have designed where the four arms don't all meet in the middle and don't use the same bolts as the stack. Instead, the Osiris's arms connect towards the front and rear of the body and the stack uses separate bolts to secure it in place.
You have the option to run either a full size 30.5mm stack or one of the wide range of fully capable 20mm stacks that are now available. There is another set of 20x20 mounting holes at the rear of the body along with through holes for zip ties.
The FPV camera is arguably the most important part on a freestyle setup, and the Osiris has been designed with a lot of focus in this area. There will be a range of camera mounts available to cater for all the various sizes of micro and mini sized cameras.
The other important area of the Osiris is the VTX antenna mounts. Our latest design is similar to the Archon V2 and is designed to work great with a standard SMA connection secured in place with the TPU mount and the rear standoffs. Then a simple zip tie through the top plate secures the antenna in place.
We have now opened the pre order for the Osiris test pilot scheme. Due to Chinese New Year, we will only have a limited number of frames available for pilots to test. We have placed an order for the final prototype frames and expect them to arrive and be ready to ship out to testers in early February. We aim to launch the official frame by the end of March.
If you would like to have any input on the Osiris frame before it is officially released, then you can pre order one of these prototype frames and automatically be entered into our test pilot scheme. Each pilot taking part is simply asked to provide their feedback on the frame and make any suggestions they have towards the design of the frame. If any of these suggestions are incorporated into the final frame then that tester will receive a special bonus at the end of the testing.
Kits include all required carbon fibre parts, hardware and TPU mounts... Everything you need to build the frame. Spares will be available on request if you manage to break anything.
